So, what is this site?
Have you ever wondered why finding cool websites was so easy in the 2000's compared to now? Are you limited to the same three boring social media sites as the rest of your friends? Ever since the late 2010's we've been living in an era in which search engines are unfortunately plagued by mediocre SEO-optimized websites and AI-generated content. Some information is even locked behind social media sites like Twitter, Discord and Reddit. All of these things have lead to the death of what we know as ''Wild West Era'' internet... All of these things have also lead to the creation of NeoNexus.
So what is Bloomscroll exactly? Bloomscroll is a curated selection of websites (mostly indie sites created by passionate coders) on the internet ordered by categories. I have purposefully excluded big tech sites like Google-owned services and social media giants, as well as lame sites which brag about crypto and Web3. The Nexus has something for everybody and aims to provide users with links they might find interesting without any algorithms or AI, just a link and a description of the site. It's as simple as it sounds.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why use Bloomscroll instead of Google?
A: Bloomscroll isn't meant to be used as a replacement for search engines like Google or Bing. It's simply a collection of links ordered by categories. Think of it as a ''Hidden Wiki'' but without shady sites and on the clear web.
Q: Why is it called Bloomscroll?
A: The short and stupid answer is that it's a pun on the term Doomscrolling except it's a positive thing instead of a negative thing. Previously the site was called NeoNexus.
Q: Can I submit my own site?
A: Of course, to submit a website click ''Submit a Website'' on the left sidebar. This will take you to our forum, where you can make an account and post your findings as well as your own site.
Q: What if Neocities shuts down?
A: Assuming there'd be an announcement, we'd back up our site and move it to a different host. The reason we're currently using Neocities is because it makes the website easier to find, and... well, it's free...
Q: Do you have a Discord server?
A: No, and we have no plans of ever making an official server. If you want to contact us please use the forum.
Q: What do you not allow on Bloomscroll?
A: Currently we do not allow websites which link or display pornographic content involving real human beings, websites for political discussions or with a very obvious bias and corporate sites owned by large tech companies.
Q: My website is listed here and I want it to be removed
A: Please send Melon a private message on the forum. Your request will be reviewed before a decision is made. If you want to delete your account following a takedown request you can contact a staff member.
