A booru is an image gallery website with a simple tagging system which exists to archive content (primarily art and animation) pioneered by the anime artwork website Danbooru in the 2000's.

Big isn't always better, and status.cafe is proof. This is a tiny microblogging plaform which allows people to post short statuses in the same vein as late 2000's Twitter. There is also a surprisingly active forum page that you can visit and post on.
